Life gets complicated.
I help make it manageable.
Personal Assistance • Elder Companionship • Household & Life Support
I'm Deb Linehan, a New York-based personal assistant, elder companion, coach, and longtime problem-solver.
I work with older adults, individuals, and families who could use another capable, caring person in their corner — someone who can handle the details, solve problems, accompany you to an appointment, organize what needs organizing, make the calls, do the research, run the errand, or simply sit down over a cup of tea and listen.
My approach combines more than 20 years of executive and personal assistance with training in contemplative and palliative care, coaching, meditation, and end-of-life support.
Sometimes you need an assistant.
Sometimes you need a companion.
Sometimes you just need someone you trust who knows how to get things done.
That's where I come in.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I've spent much of my life helping people navigate complicated things.
Professionally, I've spent more than 20 years as an executive and personal assistant, operations manager, educator, coach, counselor, and companion. I've managed everything from calendars, travel, household needs, bills, research, and logistics to simply sitting with someone during a difficult moment.
My understanding of care is professional, but it's personal too.
I moved back home to help care for my father during the last chapter of his life. I've also provided in-home companionship and personal assistance to an older adult and understand the enormous value of having someone trustworthy, capable, and kind nearby — both for the person receiving support and for the people who love them.
My training includes the nine-month Foundations in Contemplative Care program through the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care, including a clinical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital supporting seriously ill and dying patients and their families.
I've also worked as a coach, meditation teacher, and facilitator internationally and have spent decades working in nonprofit, arts, education, corporate, and service environments.
What connects all of it is something very simple:
I like helping people. I like solving problems. And I'm very good at making complicated things work.
