INCANTATION
CREATE YOUR NEXT BIG THING
You have a deep longing to honor yourself as the CREATOR that you are. But you are stopped. You are paralyzed by perfectionism, procrastination, and the programming fed to you since childhood that if you are doing something for yourself you are SELFISH. You know deep down that this is not true, but if you wait for society to give you permission, you will never follow your heart. So, where do we begin? Put your foot down, draw a line in the sand, and take action. INCANTATION will help you honor yourself and your word, make the space to create, and finally follow through.
If you have, you are definitely not alone.
Having worked as a palliative spiritual counselor at major hospitals and foundations, I know that the “5 top regrets of the dying” are no joke. People regret more often what they didn’t do than what they did do, including the failures, big or small, along the way.
Do these statements resonate at all?
I put others’ expectations of me ahead of being true to myself.
If I’m honest I’d maybe say I wear a mask more than I’d like, putting others’ comfort before my own.I don’t have time to write my book because I’m working so damn hard.
I’m afraid to fully express my feelings in my art because I may upset someone or myself.
I don’t have a community of people who support and encourage my creativity.
(I may even have a community that criticizes my creative dreams.)When I let myself be happy and in-flow with my creative source I feel guilty; as if I should be doing something else for somebody else.
The deal is, it's up to YOU to draw a line in the sand and begin to change, to put your dreams first.
IT’S TIME.
And It’s not as hard as they want you to think.
“I found Deb...when I really needed help the most. I was approaching the end of a project and could feel my anxiety rising...I finished my work with confidence and am now ready to take it to the next level. Deb is magic. A leader in the truest sense of the word, she walks her talk. She encourages artists to grow at their own pace, never formulaic. I’m so glad I got to know her, she shows me that it’s possible to be a top-notch creative person by leaning into empathy and kindness as much as possible, while still maintaining a strong vision and unique foundation.”
“Deborah Linehan’s specific insights into character, structure, and theme have been a constant guide in sharpening my scripts. Her clear understanding of dramatic structure and human psychology has helped me bring out authenticity and a real-life sense of urgency in my storytelling.”
“Working with Deb was a pleasure from start to finish. As a coach myself, it was invaluable to have someone with her talent and skill help me. She offers a very special kind of support. Loving, insightful and most importantly her own desire to help others transform and grow shines through. I felt fully supported by her and that we were very much ‘in it together’. I’m very grateful for all of her attention and perspective that she was able to share with me. The learnings I gained continue to underpin how I design my life on a daily basis.”
“Deborah Linehan is a force for good in the Universe. She’s a powerhouse, a way-shower, and a trusted advisor and guide. I don’t make any major decisions without consulting her first. I love Deb! ”
“When I began working with Deb, I thought my issue was organization. Logistical concerns dominated my mind and caused me tremendous stress. Deb drew out the emotional underpinnings of what was happening and helped me to see things in a very different light. She provided space for my conflicting emotions about creativity to emerge and resolve themselves.”
